Mum’s the Word
Ok so most women don’t need an excuse to shop –
this is a fact, however, we have done some extensive ‘research’ and compiled a list
of things that busy Mum’s are ALLOWED to splurge on. No nappies or school shoes here, this is all
about treating yourself.
So no need to sneak the shopping bags in, hide the receipts and use the old classics such as:
“What this old thing? I’ve had it ages!” or ‘It was
only a fiver in the sale!”
Not that any of us do that of course…
A Good Haircut – hair in good condition that’s easy to style will make you look and feel instantly better, because we’re all worth it.
A Decent Pair of Boots and a Good Mattress – because let’s face it you’re either going to be in one or the other.
For the Autumn/Winter season a good pair of stylish
but durable boots is essential for when you’re running around town.
And yes buying a mattress is completely boring but
a good night’s sleep is priceless.
Posh Bath & Hair Products – it’s
not quite a Spa Treatment but having
your favourite Moisturiser / Bath Oil / Shampoo & Conditioner to use is
something you deserve to treat yourself to.
Just remember not to leave them lying around in the
bathroom for anyone else to get their mitts on…
The Perfect Handbag – you can get some
really cool handbag / mommy bags these days which are chic but still have lots
of room for all your baby essentials. Think ‘Yummy Mummy’ and not ‘Pack Horse’ J
A Good Coat – Practical coats can still look good, thankfully
the sweaty cagoule is a distant memory…
A hooded Parka, quilted waterproof jacket or a
smart mac are all classic investments that you can chuck on to do the school
run.
And no one will know that you’ve still got your
pyjama top on underneath.
Your favourite Chocolates / Cakes –
the cheapest and easiest way to treat yourself (in moderation of course) But
remember, as with the bath products you will no doubt need to hide these, we
recommend either the salad drawer in the fridge or wherever you keep the vacuum
– because let’s face it, no one will ever look in there will they?
